Dos Bros Tacos & Deli is a family-owned Mexican restaurant and deli on University Ave in La Mesa, under new management since 2026.
Our story
In 2026 the shop at 6903 University Ave came under new management, and we gave it a new name: Dos Bros Tacos & Deli. We’re family owned, and we run the place the way we’d want our own neighborhood spot to be run: good food, fair prices, and a friendly hello when you walk in.
The idea is simple. Mexican food on one side of the counter, a real deli on the other. Order from one side or mix and match. Nobody has to agree on lunch anymore.
What we make
- Breakfast, every day from 9am: breakfast burritos, chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, breakfast tacos and breakfast sandwiches
- Taco shop favorites: California burritos, carne asada, adobada, fish and shrimp tacos, plates, and carne asada fries
- Deli sandwiches: hot pastrami, Reubens, tri-tip, turkey avocado, Italian subs, wraps and salads
- “Where the sides meet”: a few things only a taco shop-deli could make, like a pastrami burrito
When you visit
- Grab chips and load up at the salsa bar
- Have a beer or a glass of wine with your meal (21+)
- Open until 11pm on weekends for late bites
